Birmingham based artist Lucy McLauchlan creates beautiful artwork utilising a range of surfaces, from canvas to wood and walls to cars. Her organic approach to each piece and engaging, delicate compositions are characteristic of her unique style.
Lucy's style lends itself perfectly to the Garden Organic print collection, and her involvement with the series is best described in her own words: "As a member Garden Organic it made perfect sense to accept the invitation to create artwork to promote the charity. I'd always wanted to be a gardener and I do view my approach to painting with many similarities - working in a very intuitive way with a fluid, organic approach accepting chance as much as ability. Although when my courgettes turned out to be cucumbers this year perhaps i need to pay a little more attention to my soil & seeds."
We do not currently offer a framing service; however, please find some advice on how best to frame this print below.
To compliment the colours used and the lovely flecked paper, this print would look fantastic framed in a simple dark wood or black frame.
To best display this beautiful limited edition print we would recommend taking it to a local framer who would be able to offer expert advice and a wide variety of framing materials and options. There are also now many online framers who can custom make frames to your requirements. By searching online for 'custom frames' you will find many online framers stocking both standard sizes and frames custom made to any size, in a wide variety of options.
Vintage frames and pre-loved frames discovered in markets and charity shops can also provide unique and low-cost framing options. If a frame that you find is larger than the print fret not, a local framer should be able to cut a piece of mount that would allow the print to fit the frame perfectly.
